Jaysin Voxx Creates Music To Heal World

voxx2

Meet Jaysin Voxx, who has released a timely, positive pop song called,  “A BETTER WORLD.”

I interviewed Jaysin about all his inspirations, reasons for writing the song and his goals.

voxx6

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO WRITE THE SONG, “A BETTER WORLD”?

JAYSIN VOXX: “Michael Jackson has always been a great influence for me, perhaps in ways that other artists don’t usually mention.  You see, I see MJ not just as this amazing performer, dancer, singer, but I look at him in a World view.

voxx8

“MJ was always aware of his surroundings, trying to improve the World we live in, with his music, with his outreach, with his giving.  I always found it inspirational that every one of his songs you could probably play in church, or for your grandma.  I mean, he did have “Dirty Diana”, but in the end…it wasn’t really that dirty.”

“So, I look up to Michael Jackson still today because I believe and know music has power, and we should use that power for GOOD, to Heal, to Unite, to Save.  Like my song says, “Music…People We Gotta Use It…Because the Music Gon’ Heal The World Tonight…”

voxx12

HOW DO YOU HOPE YOUR SONG WILL HELP HEAL THE WORLD?

JAYSIN VOXX: “I want my music to be part of that healing.I even put that line “Heal The World” in my song because I believe in it so deeply! I want my song “A Better World” to do just that, Make it Better.  We need to really think of the people of the World as joined, as one.  I for one, will always strive to give back.”

VOXX30

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH THROUGH RELEASING IT?

“I hope to raise money with my music to be able to travel and perform my song and have a team with me to help build houses, help with global medications, and anything else that is needed in places around the globe.  I want this song to be the anchor for me to create many missions to show the World some kindness and not feel so divided.  We truly need each other.”
voxx11

DID GLOBAL EPIDEMIC AFFECT YOUR VIEW OF THE WORLD?

JAYSIN VOXX: “I feel that CoVID-19 has finally proven one very important thing.  That as we go about our lives in different countries, seemingly not affected or even caring about their lives versus ours, that finally, its so very obvious with this Pandemic, that we are all connected.  We DO breath the same air, we DO suffer together, and we DO Heal Together.”

WHY DO YOU FEEL YOUR LYRICS ARE IMPORTANT NOW?

“This song is important because we musicians have a duty to be better examples, don’t you think?  Stats show more people listen to Music Artists and Celebrities than they do their own Government, or even Family.”

WHAT ELSE DO YOU HOPE TO ACHIEVE THROUGH YOUR MUSIC?

“I want to be the change for something better in Music, to change the current depression and constant promomtion of drug use in songs and artists ( esp in the U.S. ).  I want my music to Heal and Inspire, and Lift Us Up.  I believe happiness leads to prosperity.”

HOW HAS MUSIC HAD A POSITIVE AFFECT ON YOUR OWN LIFE?

JAYSIN VOXX: “Positive Music in my life has been very helpful to me.  Positive Music has kept me in school caring about my grades, kept me from being sucked into drug abuse that was going on with a certain group of friends in high school, and ultimately Positive Music has always been a beacon that showed me, I can be successful, even famous in the Music Industry and actually do it with a good image, without a ton of tats, and create music that makes people happy and inspired.”

WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?

JAYSIN VOXX: “I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, my Dad is a Navy man, my Mom took care of the house.  The Bay is expensive and we didn’t have a lot.  What we did have was we are all musical people.  My Mom and Dad both sang in the Church Choir, my Sister plays incredible piano, and I started singing at 3, performing in church at 5.”
voxx5

HOW DID THOSE EARLY DAYS INFLUENCE YOU AS A PERSON?

JAYSIN VOXX: “Music and Church were both cornerstones to how I grew up.  People get confused when they talk about Church and Religion; it gets distorted.  I feel its growing absence is the reason for a lot of the World’s problems right now. It’s important we have foundations in this World, things that keep us grounded.  Here in America, I’m sad because we have taken God out of so many places, our schools, our conversations, our country. “

HOW CAN POSITIVE MUSIC IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH?

JAYSIN VOXX: “Mental Health and Positivity are so easily overlooked it seems. It’s important that all us really focus on mental health, especially at stressful times like these. I wept when Italy was hit so hard by the Pandemic.

Positive Music is often the best medicine to reduce stress and provide comfort, even help us be better people.

I felt the pain Doctors must’ve felt in China when they were trying to get the word out last year about Covid-19 and were denied and prevented. I was horrified when I saw all the deaths in one day in New York City.

I don’t believe we can truly feel for each other until we start seeing each other as tied together.  I also believe God has given me the ability and soul to feel those pains and fears and the need to reach out.”

“There is a lot of great production and music these days, but I believe the bar for Lyrics and Songwriting is at an all-time-low.  It’s funny, I think of how you never hear negativity come from such successes as Bill Gates, Sean Combs, or Will Smith and yet many aspire to live like them, be them. ”

voxx3

WHAT OTHER ARTISTS INSPIRE YOU?

“I’m encouraged to see recently that Selena Gomez and Katy Perry are trying to use their music to bring about some good.  It’s often such a contradiction that usually the most popular songs lately have some of the most depressing and negative messages. I want to change that.”

voxx1

WHO DO YOU HOPE TO REACH MOST WITH YOUR MUSIC?

JAYSIN VOXX: “I have a pretty young demo, 13-17 mostly and I believe I have a responsibility to give them something better to look up to.”
voxx9

WHAT’S SOMETHING POSITIVE YOU WANT TO SEE POST COVID-19?

JAYSIN VOXX: “The only truly good thing that I know and want to come out of this Covid-19 Pandemic, lockdown, social distancing, etc is that….WE ARE ONE.  2020 has proven, We as a World will Perish or Survive Together. “
voxx2

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO ADD?

JAYSIN VOXX: “This World is like a relationship, it takes work.  We must bond together to Survive and appreciate this great, diverse, wonderful Planet of ours, and really make it A Better World.”
VOXX32

WE AGREE. THANK YOU, JAYSIN FOR A GREAT INTERVIEW.

Remedies For Stress-Related Hair Loss

Many people who had Covid-19 are experiencing hair loss. Stress from being diagnosed with it can also wreak havoc on tresses. The good news is it’s not permanent. Read on for more information about stress and hair loss.

Is stress-related hair loss permanent?
If your hair loss is caused by stress, it’s possible for your hair to grow back in time. The rate of regrowth will be different for everyone.

Human hair growth occurs in a cycle of four phases.

The average human scalp has about 100,000 hair follicles. At any given time, each of your hair follicles is in a different phase of this cycle:

Anagen phase. This is the growing phase of hair. It lasts two to seven years

Catagen phase.
This is a short, two-week phase that occurs when the hair follicle begins to shrink.

Telogen phase.
This is a three-month resting phase.

Exogen phase
. This phase occurs when the follicle sheds the hair and begins new growth.

If your hair loss has been triggered by stress, managing your stress could be the key to returning to a healthy rate of hair growth.

What you can do
There are a number of things that you can do to reduce hair loss and encourage new growth.

Diet and nutrition

Eating a balanced, nutritious diet of whole foods is necessary for the health of your body — and your hair.

Foods Great For Your Hair:

While it’s important to include all of the essential vitamins in a healthy diet, there are some that may be vital to hair growth:

Vitamin C. This vitaminis essential for building collagen, the skin’s connective tissue that is found in hair follicles. Foods that contain vitamin C include citrus fruits, broccoli, bell peppers, and strawberries.

Vitamin B. This complex of many vitamins promotes a healthy metabolism, as well as healthy skin and hair. B vitamins can be found in foods like dark leafy greens, beans, nuts, and avocados.
avocado
Vitamin E.  This vitamin contains potent antioxidants, which can contribute to a healthy scalp. Foods rich in vitamin E include sunflower seeds, spinach, olive oil, broccoli, and shrimp.

If you aren’t getting enough of these nutrients in your diet, talk to your doctor about supplements. They can discuss your options and recommend the best dosage for you. You should never add nutritional supplements to your routine without your doctor’s supervision.

Keeping properly hydrated is also essential to overall good health. Every cell in your body relies on water to function properly.

Men should aim for 15 1/2 cups of water per day, and women should aim for 11 1/2 cups per day. That amount can come from food, water, and other beverages. A reasonable goal is to drink 8 glasses of water per day, and allow the rest to come from your diet and other beverages.

Stress management

Learning how to effectively manage your stress levels may help you reduce your risk for further hair loss. Of course, this is often easier said than done.

You may have to try several different stress-management techniques before you find what works for you.

Popular ways to reduce stress:

Exercise. Exercise is a great way to eliminate stress. Try taking a light daily walk, signing up for a dance class, or doing some yard work.

Hobbies. Occupying yourself with something that you enjoy doing can be a great way to combat stress. Consider doing volunteer work, joining your local community theatre group, planting a garden, or starting an art project.

Writing. Try taking a few minutes each day to write about your feelings, and the things that cause you stress. Reviewing the daily items that trigger your stress may help you to discover ways of coping.

Breathing and meditation. Meditation and breathing exercises are great ways to allow yourself to focus on the present moment. You may also wish to try techniques that combine meditation with physical exercise, like yoga or tai chi.

Topical treatments

Castor oil. This is a popular folk remedy for hair regrowth. Although anecdotal evidence suggests that topical use can increase hair growth, research to support this is limited.

What if you aren’t seeing improvement?
It’s possible that your hair loss isn’t stress related. There are many factors and conditions that could cause you to lose your hair.

Other common reasons for hair loss include:

aging
genetics
medications, like some blood thinners or antidepressants
chemotherapy
illness or recent surgery
hormonal changes, like childbirth or menopause
nutritional deficiency, like a lack of sufficient protein or iron

The bottom line
If your hair loss is stress related, your hair follicles haven’t been permanently damaged. Managing your stress and taking good care of your health could result in your hair returning to a normal rate of growth.

If OTC measures aren’t working — or you aren’t seeing results — see your doctor. They can help diagnose the reason for your hair loss and advise you on any next steps. If regrowth is possible, they can help determine the best treatment plan for your symptoms.

How To Avoid MASKNE: Mask-Related Acne

117119113_3363927736977095_1204111204041956202_oWEARING A MASK IS OUR NEW NORMAL, BUT AS WE COVER OUR MOUTHS AND NOSES TO STOP COVID-19, SOME OF US ARE UNCOVERING A NEW PROBLEM CALLED “MASKNE” OR MASK-RELATED ACNE.

CLEVELAND CLINIC DERMATOLOGIST SHILPI KHETARPAL (PRONOUNCED SHILL-PEA KET-ER-PAHL) SAYS SOME MASKS AREN’T VERY BREATHABLE AND CAN TRAP HOT AIR –AMONG OTHER THINGS.

CG: Shilpi Khetarpal/Cleveland Clinic  [:08]

“Sweat, bacteria, heat, all of that accumulates and essentially creates the perfect storm for, you know, bacteria to multiply and that’s when we’re seeing acne.’

TOREDUCE THE RISK OF DEVELOPING “MASKNE” DOCTOR KHETARPAL RECOMMENDS WEARING A ONE-HUNDRED-PERCENT COTTON MASK, WHICH IS MORE BREATHABLE.

IT’S ALSOIMPORTANT TO CLEAN YOUR MASK DAILY TO WASH AWAY BACTERIA AND SWEAT.IF YOU’RE USING A MEDICAL MASK,

SHE RECOMMENDS CHANGING IT EACH DAY.SHE ALSO ADVISES AGAINST WEARING HEAVY MAKEUP UNDER A MASK BECAUSE IT MAY CAUSE IRRITATION AND GET TRAPPED IN YOUR SKIN.

INSTEAD, OPT FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT, TINTED MOISTURIZER OR SUNSCREEN –JUST BE SURE TO LOOK FOR ONE THAT’S OIL-FREE AND WON’T CLOG PORES.

AND WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR MASK OFF FOR THE NIGHT, WASH YOUR FACE WITH A GENTLE CLEANSER.

IF YOU’RE STILL STRUGGLING WITH PIMPLES DESPITE YOUR BEST EFFORTS TO PREVENT THEM, PRODUCTS FORMULATED TO TREAT ACNE MAY HELP.

Youcan certainly try over-the-counter treatment ingredients like salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid –these all come in,like cleanser or leave-on forms, that’s definitely a good place to start.”

DOCTOR KHETARPAL SAYS ACNE TREATMENTS CAN BE IRRITATING AND DRYING, SO USING A GENTLE MOISTURIZER AT NIGHT IS A GOOD IDEA.

SHE ADDS THAT PEOPLE WITH TENDER, DEEP CYST-LIKE ACNE SHOULD SEEK THE HELP OF A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, BECAUSE THAT TYPE OF BLEMISH CAN SCAR.
